Legendary American alt-metal outfit Korn have announced their biggest headline gig in the UK. They'll be taking over Gunnersbury Park in West London for a day and rounding out the bill with some of the hottest modern acts in alternative music.
Famed for berserk vocals, crunchy bass lines, personal lyrics, and outbursts of unbridled aggression, Korn rose to fame in the 1990s as pioneers of the nu metal genre. Unlike many of their contemporaries, the band stayed firmly in the game even after the genre's popularity started to decline, and have only evolved their music and grown their audience since.
In August, Korn will be bringing their special brand of madness to Gunnersbury Park in West London, headlining their largest ever gig in the UK. They won't be going at it alone, either, as they'll be joined by a who's who of contemporary alternative acts – fierce Canadians Spiritbox, Liverpudlian metalcore beasts Loathe, in-your-face hometown heroes Wargasm, and hip-hop star Denzel Curry.
This promises to be one of the highlights of the festival summer for fans of heavy music, so make sure to grab your tickets and get in the pit when the Korn karavan comes to town on Sunday 11 August. Tickets go on sale on Friday 12 January at 10am via Ticketmaster.
