We can't imagine that you're bored by now of hearing about London's venues, and the city itself, being crowned as the best of the best so we've got news of another great accolade that the city has achieved. Hybrid-hospitality brand The Social Hub has released its list of the top 10 cities in Europe for culture and guess who came in at number one? Yes, it was London.

Beating stiff competition from cultural hotspots like Berlin, Prague, and Rome, London secured the top spot thanks to having more museums and art galleries than any other city – a whopping 235 to be exact – as well as 791 cultural and historic activities, and 208 theatre shows. Whilst some cities ranked higher in individual categories, for example Lisbon with 795 cultural activities, and every other city in the top 10 having a lower average entry ticket price, the overall results meant that our capital obtained the highest score.

So now you know that a cultural wonderland really is right on your doorstep, isn't it a good idea to go out and explore it? Get some inspiration by checking out our guides to the city's best art galleries, museums, theatres, and historic sights.
