London’s original immersive cocktail experience, Alcotraz, is set to grow bigger than ever before. Currently located in Brick Lane, on 1st November the alcohol-fuelled 'prison' is moving to a brand new site in nearby Hackney Road, and this means a massive expansion and even more inmates/cocktail lovers being welcomed.
The concept at Alcotraz is a drinking experience unlike any other – smuggle in your own booze from outside, make it past the prison warden, don an orange jumpsuit, and enjoy custom cocktails made with the alcohol you bring in as you sit in your very own prison cell.
Whilst the Brick Lane site is able to hold 85 guests at any time, capacity will more than double at the new site, which can accommodate 180 guests in 30 cells spread over three different cell blocks. There will also be seven brand new secret rooms like the Interrogation Room and the Visitation Room, adding a new dimension to this immersive experience.
Although Alcotraz began life in London, it has now expanded to open sites across the UK and around the world. This new development will mean that the London bar is the biggest Alcotraz site globally. Any bookings made for dates before 1st November will still take place at the current venue. All bookings from 1st November onwards will take place at the exciting new site.
