Marco Pierre White Steakhouse launches groundbreaking vegan menu

A steakhouse might not be the obvious place to take your vegan pals for a meal but culinary legend Marco Pierre White is about to change that. The highly-respected chef has now launched a 'revolutionary' new vegan menu at his Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill eatery, which has a London location in Pentonville Road.

Although White is not a vegan himself, he has previously followed a plant-based diet in the interests of his health. With vegan diets becoming ever more popular, his intention is to raise the bar in terms of quality for vegan dishes, whilst also aiming to benefit the planet by reducing meat consumption. The new vegan offering uses Redefine Meat products for both quality and sustainability.

Plant-based visitors to the restaurant will now get plenty of choice. The new menu includes four each of starters, main courses, and desserts. You can kick off a meal with soup, salad, crostini focaccia, or zucchini fritti. The main courses include a spinach and chickpea curry and a roast root vegetable cassoulet, and then there’s the dishes using Redefine Meat – a bolognaise served with gnocchi or steak à la forestière with wilted spinach and woodland mushrooms. Desserts are vegan ice creams, almond rice pudding, apple crumble, and poached seasonal fruits in sparkling wine. With such an exciting menu, even dedicated meat-eaters might find themselves heading to a steakhouse for a vegan dinner. But don't worry if you'd rather have a juicy steak from a cow - all the regular dishes on the menu will still be available.
