In sad news for fans of vegan fast food, vibrant green and white eatery Oowee Vegan will be closing its location in Dalston next week. The small chain currently has five locations, offering plant-based takes on fast food faves like loaded fries, fried chicken, burgers, and shakes. The last day of trading for the Dalston spot will be 21st May.

Oowee Vegan first started in Bristol as a pop-up in 2016, serving meat at first but then switching to a totally plant-based offering. The business has said that running the Dalston location is no longer financially viable and that the location is unsuitable.

However, all is not lost if you're a fan of the food. Londoners can still get their fix from the Brixton location, which the business has confirmed remains successful. You can also visit Oowee if you find yourself in Bristol or Brighton. If you're a Dalston local and you can't resist one final burger, get down there over the weekend to say goodbye.
