If you swing by Borough Market on February 2, you’ll be met with a bunch of school pupils selling their own soup and bread to raise money for The Felix Project. This charity delivers surplus food to charities and schools to provide healthy meals to vulnerable people around London.

The soup sale is part of the Young Marketeers programme, which teaches students about seasonal eating and food waste, and equips them with valuable cooking skills. The market also provides young pupils with the opportunity to learn about trading and the market way of life.

The students have made three types of soup from surplus produce, and ciabatta with the skills learnt at a Bread Ahead bread-making masterclass.

All the money raised on the day will go straight to The Felix Project, and for every £1 raised, they’ll be able to provide six meals for vulnerable people in London.

Pop along to Borough Market on February 2, between 10AM and 3PM, to support the students and charity.
