It's pretty cold and grey at this time of year so you really need some warming comfort food to keep you going. Pizza Pilgrims are bringing a new pizza to the table that's sure to get you feeling cosy – the restaurant group's special for the month is La Fonduta, the cheesy and gooey meeting of a pizza and a fondue.
To make each pizza, Pizza Pilgrims' dough is stretched out and then topped with a generous amount of fontina cheese fondue and mozzarella before being baked in the oven, creating a deep pool of molten cheese. Of course, your crusts are there for dipping but the pizza is served with pickles and deep-fried potatoes as well.
The restaurant first tested out this creative take on a pizza back in 2020, in collaboration with cheese-centric restaurant The Cheese Bar, but Pizza Pilgrims claim to have now made the recipe even better. It's available at all of the group's restaurants for eating-in or takeaway until the end of February.
