You can check out work by talented local artists in June, and even buy new pieces for your home, with an exhibition at Candid Arts Trust. This arts centre just around the corner from Angel tube station is launching its annual Summer Salon exhibition with an opening event on 20th June, with the show continuing until 30th June. This show is free to attend.

At the exhibition, visitors can take a look at painting, photography, sculpture, prints, and illustration by a variety of London artists – you might even discover the art world's next big thing here. Many of the pieces are up for sale too, ideal if you want to bring some creativity into your home.

The exhibition is positive news for fans of Candid Arts Trust, which is currently fighting closure due to disruption caused by ongoing construction work nearby. The centre, which also houses artists' studios and hire spaces, runs some of London's most popular life drawing sessions in addition to other creative events, and has its own quirky café, gained thousands of signatures of support on a petition against its closure earlier this year. Find out more about the exhibition and the other exciting events taking place here on the Candid Arts Instagram page.
