Opened earlier this year in June, Soho restaurant Manzi's has an appropriately-nautical theme throughout and evokes all the heritage of the renowned and now-defunct restaurant of the same name. The menu of fresh fish and shellfish is sure to tempt any seafood lover in London but if you're into oysters, this is one place that should definitely be on your radar.
Starting this week, Manzi's is now running Oyster Hour every weekday between 5.30 and 6.30pm. If you're wondering what that means, it means you can tuck into freshly-shucked Rossmore Irish No.2 oysters for only £2 a pop or £9 for the half-dozen. In addition to those premium oysters, the restaurant serves its light bites menu during Oyster Hour, with tempting dishes like tempura tiger prawns, haddock goujons, and Severn & Wye smoked salmon blinis.
As if that wasn't enough, the restaurant also offers some exciting discounts on drinks during Oyster Hour. You can pair your shellfish with a nautical take on a martini, a refined glass of champagne, or a Manzanilla sherry, all without one of those annoying texts from your bank to say you've gone into your overdraft. Oyster Hour is on at the same time every day between Monday and Friday and there's no need to book in advance. Whether it's some socialising after work or the start of a big night out, these discounts promise to be delicious for seafood fans in the capital.
