Viajante87, a neighbourhood cocktail bar in Notting Hill Gate, has announced The Culture Exchange, a residency programme bringing over some of the top restaurants and bars in Latin America.

Inspired by Viajante87's managers' travels in Latin America, The Culture Exchange starts in February, with Metzi and SubAstor from Brazil in charge of the evening. The acclaimed restaurant Metzi in Sao Paolo ranked #18 on Latin America's 50 Best Restaurants in 2023 and its chefs will be serving a selection of their signature dishes. The dinner will be followed by a full bar takeover by SubAstor, #58 on the 2023 World's 50 Best Bars list.

The remaining takeovers throughout the year follow a similar format of once-in-a-lifetime dinner and drinks, and include Selvática Social Club in March with Diengo Chou, notable Costa Rican chef, writer and sommelier, Florería Atlántico from Buenos Aires, which reached #30 in The World's 50 Best Bars 2023, in early April, with chef Marsia Taha, a trailblazing chef from of highly acclaimed Bolivian restaurant Gustu, (#23, Latin America's 50 Best Restaurants 2023), followed by Hanky Panky from Mexico City (#22, World's 50 Best Bars 2023) and Casa Oaxaca later that same month.

In May, Viajante87 will be hosting Colombian legend Alquimico (#9, World's 50 Best Bars 2023) with Celele (#16, Latin America's 50 Best Restaurants 2023). The series will culminate in June with Lima's Sastreria Martinez.

The first Culture Exchange takes place on 13 February, with tickets for the whole experience priced at £125. Find out more and book yours here.
