Decorating a festive gingerbread house can be surprisingly difficult but the kids can get into the spirit in a slightly easier way thanks to St Martin-in-the-Fields. Take the little ones to this centrally-located church next to Trafalgar Square for some wholesome fun right up until the big day – there are some delightful gingerbread-decorating workshops running until 23rd December.

Santa's elves have been busy down at the church this year, baking up some delicious gingerbread biscuits for kids aged four and over to decorate themselves. Kids can choose from various festive shapes including Christmas trees, stars, and elves. They can go to town beautifying their biscuit before joining in with songs led by Santa's elves and then taking their tasty treats home to enjoy. Adults can have a glass of mulled wine whilst they wait during each 45 minute session.

These fun seasonal workshops take place every Saturday and Sunday between 25th November and 23rd December. The church is also laying on a range of carol concerts, including kid-friendly concerts, plus the Café in the Crypt will be dishing up seasonal comfort food – why not make a day of it? Check out the St Martin-in-the-Fields website to book your ticket and get in on the festive fun.
