Fish and chips are a British favourite and when Christmas time rolls around, mince pies are a favourite as well. The Soho location of Poppies Fish & Chips is bringing the two together this festive season with a unique dessert – the deep-fried mince pie.

Blowing the Scottish classic of a deep-fried Mars bar out of the water, the restaurant is serving battered and fried mince pies between 11th and 25th December. The restaurant is staying open on Christmas Day so if you fancy an alternative (but still very British) Christmas dinner, this might be just the place you're looking for.

If you're not a fan of mince pies, the restaurant has added some other fried festive treats to help you celebrate the season. Deep-fried pigs-in-blankets, Ferrero Rochers, and Quality Street chocolates are also all on the festive menu. All that is in addition to the classic fish and chips that the restaurant is already well-known for. Get down to the Soho branch in Old Compton Street if you want to indulge in these deep-fried delights.
