The eclectic South London museum is hosting a family-friendly day of Caribbean music, food, and culture this weekend.
Music, Jerk 'n Tings is a day-long celebration of Caribbean culture, celebrating its contribution to Britain through a varied programme of events, activities, and cuisine. Taking place across the Horniman Museum's Bandstand, the outdoor event will feature performances by the likes of reggae legend Denis Bovell, Caribbean folk singing, an open mic session, a steel ensemble, and more. Kids will be able to bounce around on giant bouncy castles or visit alpacas and other creatures on the animal walk. Mini golf, an arts and crafts market, a headdress workshop, and more will be available as well, while top Caribbean and African chefs will be serving up jerk, vegan, and vegetarian food throughout the day.
Tickets for Music, Jerk 'n Tings are prices at £10 for kids and £15 for adults. You can book yours here and find out more about the event on the Horniman Museum website.
