Junsei is an authentic Japanese restaurant specialising in the art of yakitori skewers, and they've just launched a handful of delicious new items to their already tasty menu.
Junsei takes a zero-waste approach to cooking, which means every part of the chicken is grilled over white-hot binchotan charcoal, and nothing goes to waste. Feast on a range of different skewers, such as chicken breast, heart, thigh, neck, and even the crispy skin—there's no waste here.
Sides range from their mouthwatering chicken skin crisps and seasonal pickles to daikon oroshi (grated daikon radish).
Veggies won't miss out here; the vegetarian options are extensive, including sliced eryingi mushrooms and tofu with seasoned soy and ginger. There's also rice bowls and small plates.
As for the new items, the beef tongue and lobster salad with caviar mayo is set to be a showstopper. Plus, they're shaking things up with their new "Wine of the Week" feature, highlighting different wines from secluded regions. One of these is the R Cabernet Sauvignon from Jordan, with hints of strawberry, raspberry, and blackcurrant. It's perfect for pairing with Junsei's menu.
