People have been sinking pints and swearing an oath under mounted antlers at this Highgate drinking hole since 1628. The farcical oath basically confirms one's dedication to merriment and debauchery via a series of statements read out by a clerk. It still takes place today if you ever feel the urge to swear under oath for yourself. They serve tasty homemade food made by in-house chefs and a variety of well-kept real ales, ciders and locally brewed spirits and pride themselves on having a particularly friendly roster of bar staff who are always up for sharing a story or two.
