Open House Outdoor Cinema
In summer, Hyde Park is taken over by the British Summer Time concert series and hordes of tourists, but it still finds time to host an array of activities for the general public. The Open House nights from 30 June to 10 July include an outdoor cinema programme screening beloved classics such as “Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone” and “The Goonies”, as well as newer releases such as “The Fall Guy” and more. Entry is free, just pull up a blanket and enjoy.

The Big Screen in Power Station Park
Throughout summer there's a Big Screen set up outside the iconic Battersea Power Station. Though the main focus of the programme are the many sporting fixtures taking place this year, the nearby Cinema in the Power Station is hosting complimentary film screenings on select evenings. Canary Wharf Summer Screens
Cabot Square and Canada Square Park in Canary Wharf are fitted with big screens from the end of May to late August. The programme is heavy on the sports action, showing major events from F1 to cricket, Wimbledon to Ascot, but a smattering of films is also shown, including major blockbusters and family favourites. The Merchant Square redevelopment in Paddington hosts a series of open-air cinema nights throughout August. On select days, you can grab one of the deckchairs (they go quickly) or bring your own picnic blanket and relax by the canal as you watch a film. The pop-up outdoor cinema Summer Screen returns to Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens with four free film screenings across four Tuesday evenings. While entry is free (donations welcome), advance booking is required. Deckchairs can be reserved for a small fee, or you can bring your own blanket and picnic.
