Crocker's Folly
Coming from the people behind Maroush, one of the pioneers of Lebanese dining in London and today an established upmarket restaurant group, Crocker’s Folly is a classic Victorian gastropub in Paddington. The Grade II listed building boasts plenty of marble and luxurious furnishings, including a sumptuous private dining room with dark wood floors, a magnificent chandelier, a marble fireplace and an ornately crafted ceiling.
The refined historic venue represents one of the Maroush group’s pinnacles in its quest to provide authentic Lebanese cuisine in a refined setting. In addition to the lavish Lords Dining Room, Crocker’s Folly also includes the Marble Room, decked out in, you guessed it, marble, and The 1898 Bar, where bartenders mix signature cocktails such as the Julep Baklava and the Folly In Love. On warm days, you can enjoy your meal on the outside terrace as well.
The menu at Crocker’s Folly spans the full range of traditional Lebanese specialties, made from quality ingredients and served by attentive staff. Start your meal with one of the many hot or cold mezze plates, for example the Beirut take on the classic hummus, which gets an extra kick from the fresh green chilli in it. For mains, you can choose from among different grilled specialties and traditional dishes such as okra stew or kibbeh. Desserts include the sugary sweet pastries such as baklava that Levantine cuisine is famed for. In addition to the cocktails, you can browse the sizeable wine list for a suitable pairing to your meal as well.
