Bar Bruno is housed in a cosy space of just a few square metres on Kyrkogatan. Their starting point is traditional mixology and from there, they create their own, creative variations of timeless cocktails. Sustainability is a big consideration, as is hospitality – the goal is for you to feel at home, regardless of whether it's your first or hundredth visit.

Bar Bruno may be housed in a small, intimate space, but it's got plenty of atmosphere. Sit surrounded by deep red interiors, heavy velvet curtains and neon signs that spread a soft glow across the room. On weekdays and weekends, there's a festive atmosphere with a well-curated playlist, a buzz between the tables and happy bartenders behind the bar. The aim is for every guest to feel both seen and as relaxed as they do at home, whether they're regulars or visiting the bar for the first time.

Drink menus on the tables with soft, well-thumbed leather covers speak volumes about the popularity of the place. You'll find cocktails based on timeless classics such as the whisky highball, martini and Old Fashioned, but in new versions with innovative ingredients and techniques. Flavours range from spirited and smoky to tart and sweet – and everything in between. The menu also includes the “Circular” concept, which means that the drinks are created according to the zero waste philosophy, with ingredients that would otherwise have been thrown away. As well as cocktails, there's a wide range of spirits to browse through, as well as a smaller selection of beer, champagne and wine.

Although Bar Bruno is run by a drink-loving bunch (actually the same ones behind the adjacent Champagnebaren and Unity Jazz), you don't have to be a cocktail geek to enjoy yourself here. Instead, let the bartender guide you through the menu, and maybe even introduce you to a new and slightly unexpected favourite.
