LBTQ-friendly cafés

Crippas Café

Veggie-friendly for everyone

Whether you're gay or not, you're always welcome at Crippa's. This spot is known for being popular with musicians and you can eat well and healthily here with a clean conscience. There are also plenty of options if you want to eat vegan food.

Frilagret

Cultural hangout for young queers

Happenings, chat groups and events take place regularly at this cultural centre for young people. Inside the centre you'll find Kafé Frilagret, which is run in collaboration with Gothenburg City Council and serves excellent cakes and pastries, organic coffee and simple vegetarian dishes at reasonable prices. Their ambition is to offer an inclusive space where everyone can experience culture.

LBTQ-friendly restaurants and nightclubs

Bee Kök & Bar

A passion for people and animals

If you want to eat somewhere that values everyone equally, Bee Kök & Bar is the place for you. Food, animals, guests and staff are all treated with a big dose of love, and organic and seasonal ingredients are used wherever possible. A popular spot among the gay community for many years. Don't miss their various club nights.

Gretas

A true primadonna

As Gothenburg's oldest gay club, this place could really tell some stories. Gretas is straight-friendly, so you can come just as you are whoever you are, as long as you're in the mood to party. The club plays everything from Eurovision hits to house on their two dancefloors, and they often have live performances.

Folk

Culture and beer

For many, Folk is one of the best meeting places in the cultural hub of Järntorget. Everyone's welcome here to take part in cultural events, watch someone play or just have a chat over a beer. Sometimes they organise specific queer events, but Folk is always queer-friendly.

Burgers & Buns

Party al fresco

This festive street spot focuses on Korean-American street food such as bao buns and burgers, served directly through a hatch. The kitchen area may be small, but the atmosphere at the outdoor seating area is big and lively. Surrounded by plants, disco balls, bunting, and parasols, you can day-party to music played by various DJs and participate in different events. All colours of the rainbow are equally welcome to enjoy life here under bare skies.

Haket

Gay-friendly with clubs several days a week

Pub with a focus on, you guessed it, beer. Come by to hang out with friends, enjoy the latest offerings from local microbreweries or to take part in their Friday quiz. Either way, you're guaranteed a good time in relaxed pub-like surroundings. Occasionally they put on special club nights. Haket is well known as the place to be for rainbow people looking for something slightly more alternative than pop hits.

Park Lane

Glitter and glamour

If you haven't been to Park Lane late at night, you haven't really experienced Gothenburg's nightlife. International artists and feather boa-clad country cousins alike find their way here. The more glitter you sprinkle around you, the better. The last Friday of the month is Club Queer.
