At Gothenburg's very own country club, Hjortviken in Hindås, you can not only chill by the pool, sleep soundly in the hotel, and enjoy the sauna – you can also eat and drink well. Bongo Bar on Andra Långgatan serves a nutritious lunch with influences from both traditional Swedish cooking and Mediterranean flavours. AG Restaurang is a classic lunch venue that offers three options every day: a daily meat, fish, and vegetarian special. They serve ambitious Nordic style tasting menus, with an emphasis on locally produced ingredients. The menu at Noot is full of Nordic flavours and ingredients, served with a modern touch and an emphasis on sustainability. Their lunch menu always includes a vegetarian dish, a fish dish, a meat dish and a soup and is updated every day in order to avoid food waste.

In the city's former meatpacking district, you'll find something as unique as Gothenburg's, and probably Sweden's, first urban winery. Wine Mechanics is particularly popular among the city's wine connoisseurs, but it's just as good to come here solely for lunch, which changes every week and is adapted according to the seasons.

Cuckoo's Nest in the Riverside Hotel is a fun, quirky spot with views over Gothenburg harbour. They serve a creative new lunch dish every day, along with regular features such as their popular cheeseburger made from chuck steak.

Next to Odinsplatsen, Zenviet is an Asian restaurant that primarily focuses on Vietnamese and Japanese cuisine. Choose from warming pho, crispy spring rolls and flavourful noodle salads, or aim for various types of sushi and poke bowls. The goal is to be able to offer something for all tastes in calm, relaxed surroundings.

At Dunder Döner, you can enjoy döner, chicken, and falafel in soft pitta bread, either as a wrap or on a plate. The restaurant uses selected ingredients and traditional cooking methods to bring out authentic flavours. Lunch also includes a drink and coffee.

Inside the historic Stora Saluhallen food hall, Banh Mi Shop specialises in baguettes from Vietnam. Order a banh mi filled with chicken, pork, Vietnamese sausage, fish or tofu, or liver pate with coriander and fresh and pickled vegetables and herbs. A serious taste explosion. 

The café at Scandic Göteborg Central is a healthy oasis serving everything from smoothies to pizza slices and salads. Enjoy lunch in bright surroundings in central Gothenburg.
