Chef Eran Tibi, who honed his skills at Le Cordon Bleu and in Yotam Ottolenghi's restaurants, then further proved his mettle with his Southwark restaurant Bala Baya, is expanding to Soho with his new opening Kapara. The restaurant is billed as Bala Baya's naughtier sister, and judging by the social media communications so far, it won't shy away from titillating all your senses.
The all-day and all-night Kapara, which means “darling” in Hebrew, is part of the Ilona Rose House building and includes an outdoor terrace and subterranean private dining room. The seductive menu showcases chef Tibi's culinary mastery through a selection of unique Israeli dishes and drinks with contemporary influences. Expect to slather homemade butter on fresh bread, indulge in artfully plated ceviche and sip on tantalising concoctions while a debaucherous soundtrack ensures a vibrant, decadent ambiance. The restaurant even features a dedicated live music stage.
Kapara opens its alluring doors on February 4 with a month-long soft launch offer of 50% off on all dishes. Bookings go live on January 25, with newsletter subscribers and social media followers getting priority access. You know what to do.
