The father-and-son team behind Baggio Burger has put in the time on London's pop-up, takeaway and delivery circuit, making a name for itself with juicy Italian-inspired burgers and outrageous specials such as the Babbo Natale burger with a mini panettone as the bun. Having already tested the waters with a residency at the Crate complex on St James Street, they're now doing what most hip Londoners seem to be and settling down in Walthamstow, one of the capital's most in-demand areas these days.
At their first permanent restaurant, located between Lloyd Park and Fellowship Square, Baggio Burger will sling their beloved classics, such as the Zola Burger with a dry-aged British beef patty, mozzarella, homemade gorgonzola and parmesan sauce, house fig jam and rocket, served in a sesame-seeded brioche bun. Sides such as oregano fries will be available as well, and weekly specials will also be making an appearance. In February, they'll even be launching Sunday roasts. The team promises to expand the menu with dishes reflecting their Italian heritage as time goes on, so things are bound to stay interesting.
Baggio Burger will be celebrating their soft launch on 19 January with a 50% discount on all food for the evening. They'll be open from 5 to 9 pm or until supplies last – best head down there early!
