It feels like yesterday that we started getting excited about Big Mamma's new venture into West London, but we needn't wait any longer. The four-storey “pleasure palace” is opening this week in Kensington and we're right to expect big things. The tasty trio of restaurants - Ave Mario, Gloria and Circolo Popolare - have already seen huge success since they opened around the city, with branches also scattered around Europe.

The new fourth member of the family will open on Friday, January 20th and is Big Mamma’s first expedition into West London territory. They claim it’ll be their most luxurious restaurant yet, with 4000 square feet of Italian decor, including a Sicilian mezzanine with a retractable roof offering views of High Street Kensington and a disco-themed toilet complete with disco balls.

Big Mamma is maintaining their reputation for serving mouthwatering Italian plates. You can expect indulgent lobster risotto and their two-person Insta-ready carbonara served in a giant wheel of pecorino cheese, except this time, it’ll come doused in truffle cream and parmigiana foam. Room for dessert? Finish your meal with a decadent Cioccolato Fondue.
