Popular ceviche specialists Crudo Cevicheria are coming back to Fitzrovia, opening the doors to their new location in Foley Street on 30 January.
In addition to the returning Fitzrovia location, the Crudo Cevicherias can be found in Islington and Hackney, offering their take on ceviche, a raw seafood dish that's one of the driving forces behind the rise of Nikkei cuisine in the capital. The Japanese-South American fusion delicacy is prepared by marinating raw seafood in a citrusy sauce, with Crudo Cevicheria letting you choose your fish, marinade, base and toppings to build your own ceviche bowl. Nutritious pre-set options and smaller plates are available as well, and it all makes for a great, healthy takeaway meal as well.
The reopened Fitzrovia branch now offers indoor dining, as it has moved to a larger venue. Bringing back all the location-specific original bowl, the menu also features favourites from the other locations. You can start your meal with something like avocado and beetroot tartare or pastel de choclo corn cake before continuing with your ceviche selection, polishing off a bottle of wine as you go.
Speaking of wine, Crudo Cevicheria Fitzrovia offers another welcome surprise – a small wine shop in the back, where you can choose a bottle to drink at your table or take home. The shop will stock organic and natural wines from around the world.
Crudo Cevicheria Fitzrovia officially opens on 30 January, with the soft launch taking place from 26 to 28 January. If you pay them a visit during this time, you'll get 50% off your entire bill, so head over to their website and book away!
