One of the most popular restaurant groups in the capital, the Dishoom eateries update Indian street food favs for a refined setting, serving the likes of bacon naans in elegant surroundings. Queues out the door are a regular sight at their restaurants, so it comes as welcome news that their sixth London location is about to open.
The shiny new Dishoom is located in a corner of Wood Wharf and looks to be a marvellous double-height space that’s inspired by metropolitan living in 1970s Bombay. The venue also boasts an outdoor terrace looking out over the water, so don’t hold your breath for it being any less busy during summer.
The menu at the Canary Wharf location hasn’t been revealed yet, with the restaurant only dropping hints that new dishes and drinks are in the making. It’s pretty safe to assume that signature classics that have entered the London culinary lexicon, for example the black daal, will be making an appearance.
Dishoom Canary Wharf is now open for bookings from November 30. Head here to reserve your table.
