The Rondo La Cave wine bar beneath The Hoxton hotel in Holborn regularly hosts chef residencies in its incubator kitchen. The latest to join the ranks is Dollars, a collaboration with Andrei Soen, the founder of the renowned Park Bench Deli in Singapore.
At the Park Bench Deli sandwich shop, Andrei Soen helped evolve American cuisine in Singapore with his artisanal subs, gaining global recognition in the process. Now, he’s bringing his loaded sandwiches to Holborn. Dollars, the latest residency at Rondo La Cave, is replacing the Thai-American crossover of Chet’s with amped sandwiches inspired by the classic delis of New York. Taking advantage of locally sourced produce, Soen’s pop-up will stack up tasty bad boys like the Pastrami Reuben, Turkey Avocado, Fried Chicken and more, while Rondo La Cave provides the wines to match.
Dollars opens at Rondo La Cave on September 14 and will celebrate the opening with a special promotion. The first 100 sandwiches will cost only, you guessed it, a dollar. Thanks to the times being what they are, that amounts to 80p in this-here-country money, so make your way to Holborn early – the offer is first come first served.
