You know summer has hit when Frank's Café opens its doors to commemorate the start of the warmer days. Londoners have been eagerly anticipating the bar's reopening since it closed for the season, but they needn't wait much longer. Frank's has announced they'll swing open their doors again on Friday, May 19, just in time for the weekend.
Along with the pink staircase you've probably seen plastered all over Instagram, you can expect a brand new set menu with dishes made to order on-site, focusing on simplicity and seasonality. It isn't your regular rooftop fare; you'll find dishes like burrata with friggitelli peppers and almonds and deep-fried mackerel buns on the menu. There will also be an equally impressive drinks list, including contemporary cocktails, draught beers and various wines.
You can also expect a timetable of exciting live events, like orchestral and operatic performances. But if you want to chill out with a Negroni in hand, swing by at sunset; Frank's is renowned for having pretty spectacular sunsets that stretch out over the city skyline.
