London foodies already know that Sketch is a top destination for a meal in breathtaking surroundings. If you thought things couldn’t get more stylish, the venue has had a festive makeover full of fabulous seasonal decor like chairs clad in ballet shoes and an indoor enchanted forest.
Sketch’s Christmas theme is based on the Georgian heritage of the Grade II listed building it’s housed in, which dates back to 1779. The whole place has had a makeover with Georgian-inspired aesthetics and specially-made floral installations. The reception area has become an elaborate parlour filled with Christmassy scents, floral displays, and a handmade ballgown and elaborate wig in the corner. Much like at the seaside, you can step behind it and pop your face through for a fun photo opportunity.
Sketch is a unique restaurant that combines multiple distinct venues into one. It’s not only the reception area that’s had a festive upgrade – visit The Glade to see dramatic floral candelabras and chandeliers hanging from different heights for an immersive feel. The East Bar has been enhanced with a large urn of flowers and glittering festive baubles, whilst in The Lecture Room & Library a dancing pegasus is adorned with flowers and sparkle. Sketch is always a photogenic destination but if you’re looking for something even more jaw-dropping than usual, the festive season is the ideal time to visit.
