The Tamil Crown in Angel will offer more space and new dishes, but retain the intense South Indian flavours that have made its parent such a hit.
The Tamil Prince is an Islington gastropub that quickly shot up the ranks of London's hottest restaurants, with praise showered on its delicious food from all sides. Now it's getting ready to open a second location.
The Tamil Crown is located in Angel and spans two floors, along with some outdoor seating. You can expect more of ex-Roti King chef Prince Durairaj's cuisine on the menu here, from small plates to heftier dishes. Tamil Prince classics such as onion bhaji will make an appearance, but expect plenty of new items to salivate over as well. On Sundays, they'll serve Indian-inspired roast dinners. The drinks will be on point as well, with Tamil draught beers, fine wines, Three Sheets' bottled cocktails, and more all available. And if The Tamil Prince is anything to go by, a lively, vibrant pub atmosphere is going to be part of the package as well.
The Tamil Crown opens on 18 November. Find out more here.
