The first portion of The Nine Elms Linear Park has been unveiled in Thames City, London's newest riverside neighbourhood.

The Nine Elms Linear Park runs through the newly redeveloped Nine Elms area. Once complete, the continuous green corridor will link Battersea Power Station in the west to Vauxhall Cross in the east, letting people walk from one to another through a carefully landscaped green space. Various leisure, sports, and outdoor facilities will be available as well, including pedestrian and cycle routes.

The first part of the park has now opened to the public, located in the easterly Thames City development. The leafy haven has been designed by the award-winning landscape architects Gillespie and features walkways, water features, a children's play park, interactive trails, seating areas, flower beds, insect habitats, and more. The heart of the park is the Great Lawn, a natural amphitheatre of sorts that is bound to host all sorts of pop-up events in the future.
