This blockbuster V&A exhibition delves into the work of fashion icon Coco Chanel

“Gabrielle Chanel. Fashion Manifesto” is an expansive exhibition covering the career of one of fashion's most famous designers and the rise of the House of Chanel.

French designer Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel established the Chanel brand in the early 20th century, with her chic designs leaving a lasting mark on women's fashion. Over time, the brand expanded to include jewellery, accessories, and fragrances, including the iconic Chanel No. 5 perfume, and though she was later criticised for her links to the Nazis, Gabrielle Chanel remains one of the most influential fashion designers of all time.

A major exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum presents Chanel's work and evolution, with exhibits including iconic dresses, archival photography, and more, making it a must-see whether you're interested in design yourself, or just looking for some inspiration for your everyday attire.

“Gabrielle Chanel. Fashion Manifesto” is currently sold out, but you can visit the exhibition for free if you sign up as a V&A Member. Find out more here.
