Times are tough for many of us at the moment but one popular London sandwich shop is doing its bit to make life a little more affordable. Sons + Daughters, which has locations in King’s Cross and Borough Market, has announced that from 28th November it’s dropping the price of its sandwiches from £11 to just £6.50.

Sons + Daughters burst onto the scene in 2019, coming from the same duo behind popular Hackney restaurant Pidgin. Its success led to a second opening in Borough Market earlier this year. The speciality is loaded sandwiches with global flavour combinations like roast chicken with soy-glazed parmesan or a simple yet indulgent egg salad with miso mayo and truffle crisps.

Although pricing exceptions will be made for seasonal specials like the Christmas sandwich that’s soon to be on the menu, prices on the main menu will drop across the board. The trade-off is that the sandwiches are getting a little smaller - and for sandwiches that are already described as 'massive' this may not be such a bad thing - but there won't be any difference in the quality of ingredients. This change means that a satisfying lunch in London just got a whole lot more affordable.
