One of London's most unique fundraising opportunities is coming back in February.
Vertical Rush is a fascinating and exciting physical challenge where competitors strive to reach the top of a skyscraper by going up the stairs, floor to floor, raising funds for charity in the process. Organised by Shelter, the event will take place in February at Tower 42, one of London's tallest buildings, with participants challenged to power up the skyscraper's 42 floors. The funds they raise through their sponsorship pledges and registration fees will go towards helping Shelter fight homelessness in England.
Anyone can participate in the Vertical Rush tower run, though as it is a strenuous challenge, a basic level of fitness is required. The event provides you with training tips and different plans according to your level. They last eight weeks, so if you make Vertical Rush one of your New Year's resolutions, you'll finish just in time for the event. On the day of the event, participants climb the tower in staggered waves so that everyone can go at their own pace, with a dedicated events team on hand to provide on-demand support.
Vertical Rush 2024 takes place at Tower 42 on Wednesday 28 February. You can find out more about the event and register here.
