York & Albany

Camden’s York & Albany is a venture from acclaimed chef Gordon Ramsay. As well as offering seasonal British cooking, the venue has hotel rooms and a bar. It sits in a spacious and imposing building in the heart of Camden Town, with classic interiors throughout the restaurant, private dining spaces, and guest bedrooms.

The eight boutique hotel rooms in this Grade I listed building are full of grand style, modern technology, and cosy furnishings and amenities to enhance your stay. Room service is available if you don’t fancy venturing into the restaurant. One of the suites is complete with its own terrace and private entrance.

If you’re not staying at the hotel, or if you are and you do want to check out the restaurant, there’s lots to discover. As well as the main dining room, there are elegant dining spaces suitable for a range of events, including weddings. There’s a choice of menus, including a weekly Sunday roast and bottomless brunch to liven up any weekend. Breakfast is available at weekends, with a concise pick of popular options like pancakes and eggs benedict.

The main menu showcases modern British cooking with choices like beef wellington, steak, curries, and burgers. You can also try a seasonal set menu of two or three courses. Children aren’t forgotten about, with a special menu just for them. In terms of drinks, you can sample signature cocktails, local craft beers, and an extensive array of gins. There’s also a considerable list of global wines, including champagne.
