As the cost of living crisis rages on, many restaurants and other hospitality businesses are starting to feel the pinch. In a bid to avoid closure, Tottenham’s Nigerian tapas restaurant Chuku’s has started a new campaign to boost bookings and keep them going.
Referred to as 'Chuku’s six week charge', the restaurant is aiming to secure 100 bookings a week up until 9th December to help them survive into 2023. Staffing difficulties and cost of living issues have seen a drop in bookings so the restaurant is encouraging fans both old and new to visit the restaurant in the next few weeks. If the team are able to reach their goal, it should help the restaurant to become financially sustainable once again.
Beginning life as a supper club, Chuku’s launched its restaurant near Seven Sisters station in 2020. This relaxed eatery celebrates the social aspect of food in Nigeria, encouraging diners to socialise and share small plates like yam dumplings, jollof quinoa, and chicken wings. The restaurant also hosts a sociable weekend brunch and intimate supper club experiences.
Whether you’re already a Chuku’s devotee or you want to help save a much-loved restaurant on the London food scene, you can book at the restaurant now to discover laid-back West African cuisine.
