London is getting the highest free public viewing gallery in Europe

Situated on the 58th floor of the 22 Bishopsgate building in The City, Horizon 22 is promising spectacular panoramic views – for free.

Launching in September, the Horizon 22 viewing platform sits 254 metres above ground, making it the highest public viewing gallery in Europe. The latest attraction to take advantage of London's fantastic cityscape, the viewing gallery on the tallest building in The City will be open seven days a week. Visitors will be whisked up to Level 58 in 41 seconds by a high-speed lift travelling 8 metres per second. Once you're up there, you'll be able to enjoy unrivalled views of the capital through specially designed triple-glazed windows and take in landmarks such as The Shard, St. Paul's Cathedral, The Walkie-Talkie, Tower Bridge, and more.

Horizon 22 officially opens on 27 September. Admission will be free and they'll accept walk-ins, but it's likely to be a highly popular choice especially among budget-conscious travellers, so advance booking via the website is recommended. Bookings open on 20 September.
