One of London's restaurants came away with four Rosettes at the annual AA Hospitality Awards, with other prestigious accolades awarded as well.
The AA Rosettes, one of the more prestigious recognitions a restaurant can receive, are known for often highlighting lesser-known eateries, though it would be quite a stretch to claim that of this year's winners in London. None other than Restaurant 1890 by Gordon Ramsay received four AA Rosettes to add to its brand-new Michelin star – it's been such a good year for them they might as well rename themselves to Restaurant 2024. London also has a new three-Rosette restaurant – Humo, whose wood-fired grilling also yielded them their first Michelin star this year.
In addition to the Rosettes, several other honours were bestowed at the AA Hospitality Awards ceremony at JW Marriott Grosvenor House yesterday. Tom Aikens of Muse was declared Chefs' Chef of the Year, while The Silver Birch was named the London Restaurant of the Year. In the hotel categories, The Dorchester was named London Hotel of the Year, while 1 Hotel Mayfair received the Sustainable Award.
