Out with the old, in with the new: Seven Dials Market is switching up vendors

Four traders are saying goodbye to the popular Covent Garden food hall in January, with four new ones taking their place.

Seven Dials Market, the spacious, always-busy food hall in Covent Garden, is changing things up in the new year and replacing four established traders with new, up-and-coming names.

The four traders leaving Seven Dials Market in January are indulgent burger purveyors Truffle Burger, fully plant-based Mexican street food Club Mexicana, top dosa and curry pitstop Curry On Naanstop, and Latino fried chicken joint El Pollote. Since first joining Seven Dials Market years ago, these traders have successfully expanded to multiple locations across London, so you'll still be able to get your fix if you're a fan.

Meanwhile, four new traders will be taking over the vacated spots, two of them having come up through the Inkerbator programme. Run by Seven Dials Market operator Kerb, Inkerbator helps up-and-coming street food ventures build up their business, with many of them going on to open their own permanent sites.

The two Inkerbator graduates joining Seven Dials Market in January are Lucky's Hot Chicken, a Southern fried chicken concept familiar from Kerb's food offerings at the National Theatre, and Los Gordos, a pioneering taqueria fusing Mexican and Colombian cuisine. They'll be accompanied by Mother Flipper, a Brockley-based restaurant known for its indulgent burgers, and Kolkati, an Indian street food venture lauded for its hot kati rolls.

While the overall culinary composition of Seven Dials Market is thus staying the same – Indian food replacing Indian food, burgers replacing burgers, and so on – there are exciting new flavours and twists to try out. We can't wait!
