Pride Month in London 2024

Trafalgar Square

The official Pride 2024 parade

The annual Pride in London parade will take place on 29 June. The parade will take participants and spectators from Hyde Park Corner to Whitehall Place via Piccadilly Circus and Trafalgar Square, with stages, stalls, food and drink vendors, and other facilities set up along the route and around Soho. Over 600 LGBTQ+ community groups are expected to march in the parade.

Daytime brunch party

At the historic Art Deco venue, with its plush interior and signature booths, they're throwing a massive Pride party with the Cheeky Girls as special guests—remember them? Not your average Pride party

Get the Pride party going in Hackney Wick at Colour Factory. If you fancy a party that's out of the mainstream, this inclusive multi-purpose venue is the one to look out for. Howl Pride runs from the afternoon through to the following morning, with a garden party, bouncy castle, queer market, and a huge rave all night long.

Celebrating queer women

Let's remember that Pride isn't all about the boys. Evolutionary Arts Hackney (EartH) is hosting a party on 29th June aimed at lesbians, queer women, and trans and non-binary people. Queer identities meet classical music

Taking place in July after the main party, Classical Pride offers a new way to celebrate. This festival celebrates queer identities in classical music, with a range of events taking place at various venues. Most of the action is happening at Outernet and the Barbican Centre. Expect events that fuse drag and classical music and showcases of LGBTQ+ classical music talent, culminating in a performance by the London Symphony Orchestra.

Tate Britain

Free LGBTQIA+ gallery tours

Tate Britain is laying on LGBTQIA+ guided tours of the galleries as a way to mark Pride month, tracing queer history through the gallery's entire collection. Each tour is free and on a first come-first served basis. Tours are led by volunteers with lived experience of the topics at hand. The tours are part of Tate's work to highlight marginalised voices in the art world.

British Museum

Uncover queer history

During Pride month or any other time of the year, you can visit the world-famous British Museum and explore its LGBTQ history trail. This permanent activity takes you through the galleries and unveils artefacts related to LGBTQ history, with audio commentary available. Short and longer versions of the trail are available, depending on how much time you can spare.

The Cockpit

Go to the theatre in Marylebone

Head to The Cockpit in Marylebone to celebrate Pride with a theatre show. “The Good Women” is returning to the capital for Pride month, telling the story of two Swiss women in the 1960s and based on a true love story. This vibrant play is funny, bold, and features lots of romance.

Celebrate 50 years of Camden Market

As part of its three-month summer festival commemorating its 50th anniversary, the world-famous Camden Market is hosting a Pride Family Day in association with The Toy Project charity. Families will be able to enjoy the Toy Project workshop, panto dame storytelling, face painting, and a colourful cabaret parade.

Theatre Royal Drury Lane

Pride-themed afternoon tea

Theatre Royal Drury Lane is celebrating Pride Month with a themed afternoon tea, special cocktail, and exclusive screening in collaboration with Disney's Frozen The Musical. The Pride Afternoon Tea will see £1 from each tea donated to Diversity Role Models, supporting their mission to end LGBTQ+ bullying in schools. Additionally, on 28th June, there will be free screenings and talks at the Cecil Beaton Bar, culminating in a special Pride performance of Frozen the Musical, with all profits from the show-themed cocktail being donated to the charity.

Decorate the Tree of Pride

In celebration of Pride Month, Southside Shopping Centre is featuring a 'Tree of Pride' where visitors can decorate the tree with pledges for a more inclusive and caring future. Guests can choose from suggested pledges or leave their own positive sentiments, such as dedications to loved ones.
