One of London’s most iconic sights, Trafalgar Square is dominated by a column commemorating Admiral Horatio Nelson’s naval victory over Napoleon’s forces at the Battle of Trafalgar. There are many other statues around the square, as well as a plinth reserved for contemporary art installations, and the square is regularly used for gatherings, celebration and demonstrations.
