The team behind Crispin has taken over the former Oklava venue, launching a bistro-style eatery with a focus on British provenance. Quality sourced produce from local producers is used in a fine dining menu with the likes of rabbit, bacon and apple cider pie, or steamed marmalade pudding with vanilla custard. Though Bistro Freddie is tucked away from the main thoroughfares in the area, its delectable British fare, combining nostalgia and contemporary cooking, is worth making a detour for.
