Review of EXP Haus – by Esme J.

I was so excited to be tattooed by Anya Tsyna at Exp haus but had such a horrible experience re: client care and quality of tattoo.
This artist is so responsive 1-2 days, for booking and then following my tattoo with her, things changed. The tattooed healed very dull and were small sections of it that were incomplete, missing lines, detail. I reached out politely asking for retouch, she asked for photos, videos of tattoo and responded by saying couldnt see anything amiss but would offer me retouch, she never mentioned a retouch was outside of her policy or something she wouldn't normally consider. Booking a retouch in was a NIGHTMARE, she vaguely offered a slot at very short notice and didnt confirm, respond to my email, and then ignored / ghosted me for weeks when I had to decline the slot, because I work fulltime and need adequate notice. The communication from her thereafter ceased for days, all while she was active daily on Instagram posting, responding to requests for tattoos. I raised the communication challenge over email and heard nothing waiting another week before calling the studio Exp Haus who seemingly couldn't explain the long term communication issue, they told me she had been on holiday for two weeks but by then this had been going on for 4-6 weeks, I was re assured that if I had no response from Anya Tsyna tattoo in a week they would book me in a slot in her diary, I waited nearly two weeks no contact from studio or artist, they then avoided my calls on studio phone number. 3-4 days later received a really horrible message from Anya, pointed out I had called studio multiple times and questioning why I had reached out, it was very defensive and something never experienced, I have been getting tattoos for over 15 years and this defensive, inflexible and defensive comms and ghosting is like nothing ever experienced.
Still keen for solution I responded as politely and diplomatically as I could explaining my keen ness to resolve things, and again asking for enough notice and a retouch date, this is when this artist really turned on me, calling me "passive aggressive" and being "all sunshine and smiles" and accusing me of harasssment for calling the studio after being ignored deliberately. She also accused me of lying about state of tattoo without even offering to see it in person indicating it was my after care that had impacted the quality of tattoo not her artistry. I took off m second skin a couple of days early after the tattoo because had developed an allergy and it had blistered I was assured by Anya this was normal but advised to take it off and use aftercare cream and clingfilm which I did. Her cold lack of professionalism and ignorance re: client care is something keen for anyone else to avoid and studio to be wary of, she really embarasssed me and ruined my experience of being tattooed at Exp Haus.
