But in the Wine Vault, we see none of the care about the food that is so characteristic of pintxos bars in San Sebastian. Where is struck by the pride and passion that the Basque kitchen conveys in any small titbit served. Wine Vault food feels unengaged and tired. The bacon wrapped tiger prawns on skewers for $ 110 was ok, but the duck breast with mango and PEAR in sweet and sour sauce has been left to their own devices far too long in the oven. Now we received a sad överstekt and dry dish who testified about a too low level of ambition in the kitchen.
