Diné serves up tasty burgers in welcoming, industrial-inspired surroundings. Choose from classic burgers such as various kinds of cheeseburger to truffle burgers and innovative vegetarian and vegan alternatives. All the food they serve is made from scratch from Swedish ingredients. Beef is ground on site, burger buns are baked from scratch and dressings are made according to their own recipes. The menu also includes indulgent milkshakes.

Stures Brasseri is a charming brasserie in the heart of the events area, next door to Scandinavium arena. They serve Swedish and French classics that will suit all tastes and ages. There's also a children's menu that includes hamburgers and meatballs. 

Restaurang V aims to be a welcoming hangout for all, whatever their age, based around that perennial favourite - pizza. They make it here the Genovese way, topped with both classic and innovative toppings. Should anyone in your group not be in the mood for pizza, there are also fresh salads and snacks on the menu. 

If you want to take the family on a trip to the Mediterranean, you don't have to go any further than Karl Johansgatan. This little sun-yellow tavern serves authentic Greek food, cooked with a lot of love and tradition. In addition to classics like moussaka, souvlaki, grilled skewers, and smaller mezedes, the menu also includes a couple of extra child-friendly dishes. The dining room downstairs is made for sociable dinners and there's a slightly more separate part that's perfect for family dinners. The restaurant doesn't have a kids' menu, but the chefs can always rustle something up for their younger guests.

Kebab has become a fastfood favourite in many parts of the world. Dunder Döner serves thin slices of spiced meat in soft pita bread, vegetables and your choice of dip. If anyone in your family doesn't fancy kebab, they also serve burgers and salad and you can either eat in or take away.

Tiljan may be the in-house restaurant at Gothenburg City Theatre, but it also welcomes other guests who fancy a bite to eat in a cosy environment. Take the family on a little outing! About a 20 minute drive from the city centre you'll find Hovås Kallbadhus restaurant in beautiful natural surroundings. Combine the visit with a dip in the sea, a little sauna and a nice meal in the restaurant. There are even a couple of kid-friendly dishes on the menu, under the cute heading “The Little Frogs”.

The stylish bistro at the Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel works as well for business travellers as families with children. There's plenty of space and the atmosphere is relaxed. Go for a relaxed family dinner or weekend brunch with Scandinavian and international flavours.

Valentinas invites you to a French taste experience for the whole family, in the lively neighbourhood of Kallebäck. The menu includes various French classics as well as their pizza-like signature dish, tarte flambée, which is always a hit, not least with younger connoisseurs. Fluffy lamps, soft sofas and subdued lighting maximise the cosy atmosphere in this elegant neighbourhood restaurant.

Hamburger restaurant Tugg serves great food at reasonable prices. The menu includes all kinds of burgers with plenty of sauces and sides, desserts and drinks. Everyone in the family is guaranteed to leave full and happy.

Escape the stress of the inner city and head out to peaceful Råda Säteri and its restaurant, Lokal. They make the most of the countryside setting, transforming local ingredients into a gastronomic experience with Nordic flavours and modern cooking methods. Little ones have their own menu to choose from, composed of child-friendly favourites.

In cosy cellar restaurant surroundings, complete with classic red and white checkered tablecloths, the whole family can eat their fill from the long Italian menu. There is also special menu for younger, pickier eaters. The restaurant is close to Ullevi and other fun attractions.

Take a trip out to the archipelago! Nimbus Öckerö is around an hour from central Gothenburg, and you can get here by car or boat, or bus and ferry if you prefer.
