Gaucho to honour Earth Hour with a special supper club

On 25 March, the annual WWF Earth Hour will again invite individuals and businesses around the world to turn off non-essential lights for an hour in order to conserve energy and show their commitment to protecting the planet. A few days later, the Charlotte Street branch of the Gaucho Argentinian steakhouses will go a step further, dedicating its quarterly Sustainable Supper Club to the movement and holding it by candlelight.

On Wednesday, 29 March, Gaucho Charlotte Street will host a special instalment of its Sustainable Supper Club, which is held once per quarter, often with exciting guest chefs. The candlelit event will feature a three-course sustainable and seasonal menu that emphasises zero-waste dining. Courses include the Gaucho zero-waste sourdough with roast potato butter, curried seabass soup, skirt steak (a secondary cuts of Gaucho's signature Argentinian beef that they offset the emissions of), and rhubarb and apple crumble to finish. Optional drink pairing featuring some of the best examples of sustainability in the drinks world, including Two Drifters carbon-negative rum and organic whisky from Nc'nean, is also provided by Glass Half Full.

The Sustainable Supper Club is priced at £50 per person, with an additional £20 for the optional drinks pairing. Book via the Gaucho Charlotte Street website here.
