The annual R200 Awards, which celebrate excellence in the multi-site sector across a number of categories, were handed out last week, and many of London’s restaurant groups took home the top prize.
The R200 is a club the brings together the country’s leading restaurant group operators that meet the following criteria: they must be multiple-site operators, have a strong “sit-down dining” element, and must be listed on the Alternative Investment Market or independent. In short, no Mickey D’s here.
As anyone who’s ever walked down at least two different streets in London is well aware, there’s no shortage of restaurant groups in the Big Smoke. It therefore comes as no surprise that restaurants in the capital took home many of the top prizes. Here’s the full list of winners you can find in London:
- Best New Opening: M Canary Wharf
