You'll find this multi-faceted business under brick arches right next to the entrance to Gothenburg harbour. The premises works as a café, events space, art gallery and podcast studio. Above all, Faux Pas offers a welcoming atmosphere in industrial-style premises with stylish, modern interiors.
The building was originally an old sawmill, which has now been transformed into a café and events space. Come by for an espresso, or take a seat for a warming bowl of soup, grilled sandwich, bowl or cake or pastry. Exhibitions, flea markets, live music and other performances all take place here. There's plenty of space indoors and outside you can eat and drink on their sunny outside area. If you need a podcast studio, there's one here you can hire, decorated with antique furniture, a piano and red curtains.
At lunchtime they serve a daily soup, which is either vegetarian or vegan and comes with various toppings. Bread and coffee are included. The café also has a menu that includes bowls, often with Asian flavours, and grilled sandwiches. On certain days they also organise lunchtime performances, such as their Sound Soup event.
