Andetag
A relaxing oasis centred around the breath
Andetag is an interactive art experience that combines art and technology. Using light, sound and colour, an immersive environment is created where visitors can explore the rooms at their own pace and synchronise their breathing with the artworks. The venue can also be rented out for events by both companies and individuals.
Andetag is located in a 200 square metre venue inside Hötorget underground station, where both Stockholmers and tourists can go to unwind and get in touch with their own breathing. The exhibition consists of 50 unique works in optical fibre textiles, created by artist couple Malin and Gustaf Tadaa, which they constructed and wove, and which, with the help of hundreds of LEDs, glow from within. The vision behind Andetag is to offer a peaceful oasis in the middle of the hectic pulse of Stockholm.
Through several different rooms, visitors can explore the experience at their own pace, and along the way there are several seats to sit down on for those who want to rest for a while. All artworks are synchronised and breathe in time – a time that the viewer can follow with their own breathing. And this applies not only to the works in the venue in Stockholm, but Malin and Gustaf have also created art that hangs in other places around the world, allowing you to breathe at the same time as a viewer on the other side of the world.
Andetag's unique venue is also available for tailormade events such as launches, conference breaks and dinners, in the morning, afternoon and evening
