No other part of Stockholm is as rich in history as the Old Town, or Gamla Stan. For several hundred years this small area made up the entire city, and its long heritage is clearly reflected in its range of hotels. The island's central location is within walking distance of the whole of central Stockholm, making it a perfect starting point for a stay in the capital. Named after the Dutchman Fredrik Reiss who ran a coffeehouse on Skeppsbron in the 1750s, Hotel Reisen's location makes it as much of a central meeting place today as it was then. Many of the 144 rooms have wonderful views over the Strömmen waterway and the island of Skeppsholmen. There's also an award-winning cocktail bar and restaurant.
Victory Hotel
