The former boiler room of Gasverket in Norra Djurgårdsstaden will house a restaurant, beer hall and brewery called Tegellådan. The establishment, run by the same team as Lådan, will spread out over the 650 square metre space, with a large area for 100 guests and a smaller space for around 30 seated guests. There will also be an outdoor dining area serving “transparent street food”.

In 1958, restaurateur Bengt Wedholm opened the doors to Östergök, which was a popular restaurant for the 17 years it existed. Restaurateurs Douglas Fagerman and Ruben Blomdahl have now taken over the premises and created a restaurant destination with two restaurants and a wine bar at the same address.

Restaurateur Acki Kokotos is opening Restaurant Noema at a sun-kissed address on Birger Jarlsgatan, where food and drink will be the conduits to meaningful memorable moments. Taste-wise, there are no culinary boundaries; instead the kitchen draws inspiration from all over the world. Via a separate entrance you can reach Noema's intimate side restaurant, where cocktails and snacks are enjoyed to the tunes of DJ music. During the summer months they'll be opening up their outdoor dining area with room for nearly 100 guests.

The name comes from the classic tobacco shop that used to be located here, and shouldn't be confused with Svenska Brasserier's pub on Götgatsbacken. After thirty years in Söderhallarna, at the end of November 2023 it was time for Melanders to open at a new address. The classic fish restaurant can now be found at Åsögatan 111, with a food bar where small dishes are served, and of course a fish and shellfish counter where you can buy marine delicacies. The art in the room is curated by artist Ulrika Melin, and at the far end of the restaurant, composer and artist Wille Crafoord has created an illuminated work of several square meters that represents an aquarium.

In the popular Södermalm area of Sofo, Ta'ameya's sister restaurant Baladi Grill serves grilled delicacies from the Middle East, in freshly baked pita bread or on a plate. Bio Rio's old premises, where Indio Kitchen used to be, are now home to RiRi. Behind the new restaurant concept is head chef Elias Kvarning, who has previously worked at Ett Hem and Fäviken, among others, and who, together with his team, cooks over an open fire. The Mediterranean-inspired menu changes as often as daily and is described by the kitchen themselves as carefree fine dining that pairs perfectly with their selected wines.

The Sheraton's restaurant aims to be an obvious dining destination not only for hotel guests, but also for local residents. Executive chef Pontus Wellén, who has been brought in for the relaunch, has created a dynamic menu with a focus on the plant kingdom. It's no secret that the cousins who run The Italian Cousins are passionate about food and drink from their home region of Emilia-Romagna in Italy, and their new restaurant on Sergels Torg carries on the concept.
